Banks plays an important role and backbone of Indian economy. RRBs work as a midway between two parties who borrow from one party and loan to another party. The share capital portion of Regional Rural Banks is carried out in the ratio 50:35:15 by the Central Govt., sponsored bank and State Government. The RRBs manage the funds from share capital received from the shareholders, NABARD, National Housing Bank, SIDBI and Sponsor Banks. The present paper examines the performance evaluation of RRBs in India during the study time 2019-20 to 2024-25 in India. The study reveals that the RRBs performance increase in respect of number of branches, deposits, credits and meets the financial needs of rural, small business and weaker segment of the county. RRBs play a significant role in extending micro credit.
