Manvinder Singh Pahwa, Babita Yadav & Pragya Singh

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 introduces a transformative framework for higher education in India, emphasizing interdisciplinary learning, technology integration, industry-academia collaboration and inclusivity. This paper examines the implications of NEP 2020 on management education, exploring its potential benefits, challenges, and policy for its effective implementation. The study aims to assess the impact of NEP 2020 on management education in India. The researcher adopted a qualitative secondary data analysis approach which includes policy documents, institutional reports and peer-reviewed articles to examine the real problems, challenges and scope of NEP 2020 in management institutions. The findings indicate that NEP 2020 has significantly contributed to interdisciplinary education, digital integration, and industry partnerships within management education. However, challenges persist, particularly in terms of resource distribution, faculty training, and accessibility in rural and semi-urban institutions. The study underscores the necessity for structured faculty development programs, strengthened digital infrastructure, and expanded financial aid to ensure inclusivity. The study concludes that while NEP 2020 lays a strong foundation for transforming management education in India, the successful realization of its goals requires a collaborative approach among all stakeholders like educational institutions, policymakers and industry. Enhancing digital accessibility, strengthening research initiatives and promoting practical, skill-based learning will be crucial in positioning India’s management education on a world level platform.
