AN EMPIRICAL STUDY ON CONSUMER PREFERENCE TOWARDS FOOD PACKAGING

Dr. Harshita Gupta

When making a buying choice, consumers are becoming more concerned about the packaging of the things they are considering purchasing. It is clear that they have quite diverse tastes when it comes to the packaging of food. These preferences are created as a result of the image that is shown on the container, which piques their attention. Because of this, the primary purpose of the essay is to investigate the opinions of consumers on the various forms of food packaging now available. This survey was undertaken by a total of 150 inhabitants of Ranchi, Jharkhand, and answers were collected via the use of electronic mail channels. A factor analysis was performed on the examination of the data. The choices that customers made were based on five different types of consumers, including those who are concerned about the environment, those who value convenience, and those who value education. The design of the packaging may be changed to supply customers with the information they want and to meet their requirements, which is another reason why it is vital for markets.
