This study investigated the relationship between public awareness of waste management and waste management behavior in Vadodara, India. Study uses Google form for survey and Jamovi software for statistical calculations. The findings reveal a positive association between educational qualifications and awareness levels regarding waste management practices. Interestingly, household type did not significantly influence waste management behavior, suggesting the need to explore other influencing factors. Additionally, the effectiveness of the provided incentive for source separation requires further investigation. Overall, the research highlights the importance of public awareness campaigns that go beyond basic definitions and promote responsible waste disposal practices. The study also identifies the need for future research to explore the various factors influencing household waste management behavior and to identify the most effective incentive types for encouraging source separation across diverse populations.
