EXPLORING ECOFEMINISM AND QUEST FOR IDENTITY IN KIRAN DESAI’S THE INHERITANCE OF LOSS

The Booker Prize-winning Novel the Inheritance of Loss was published by Kiran Desai. This novel is about the theme of loss in terms of homeland, identity, and the loss of natural habitat it also deals with shades of modernism and feminism. This paper explores the Ecofeminist dimension of the novel in the context of diasporic reality and the phenomena of identity it also aims to bridge this gap by applying ecofeminist, diasporic, and identity theories to unravel the nuanced connections within the novel.
