This research paper delves into the foundational concepts of Marx's materialist dialectics and historical materialism, with a specific focus on their implications concerning the phenomenon of alienation. The paper examines the evolution of these theories from Marx's early works to his mature writings, analyzing their core tenets and their connections to the notion of alienation. Through an extensive literature review of six top international research articles, various perspectives and interpretations of alienation within the context of Marx's theories are critically evaluated. The research methodology adopts a qualitative approach to analyze the selected research articles, and the results and discussion section highlights the recurring themes and findings. The conclusion presents a comprehensive understanding of how Marx's materialist dialectics and historical materialism contribute to the understanding of alienation in contemporary society.
