This kind of agencies have been working efficiently in the countries where there is a large production of milk such as Denmark, Sweden, Australia, New Zealand and the U.S.A. The first dairy cooperative society in India was established at Allahabad (U.P) in 1913, for supply of clean pasturized milk to consumers a dairy cooperative organisation was established as as Kolkata Milk Supply Society Union in 1919.
