The BRICS countries are a group of world's leading emerging market economies. In this group, Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa are included. The aim of this group is to promote peace, security, development and cooperation. But corruption is a major issue to achieve its aim, as it is known that all corruption adversely affects the economy. Corruption is like a cancer which has involvement in all the framework of the economy. Due to corruption, the function of the economy does not work in the proper way. Corruption can be defined as the misuse of office for unofficial ends. In other words, it is a misuse of power. The power may be at administrative and political level. According to the word bank, corruption is simply the misuse of public property for private gain. The present paper aims to review the status of corruption in BRICS countries since 2010. Fighting corruption has emerged as a key development issue in India in recent years.
