Blockchain is an advance technology which has led to the formation of a decentralized environment. Blockchain is a catalyst in this era of electronic-information or we can say the era of industry 4.0, though initially used for the first cryptocurrency "bitcoin" now it has various areas of implications ranging from financial services, cryptocurrency, risk management, and for other pubic and social services in order to avail benefits like auditability, decentralization, persisting and anonymity but contrary to all rosy situation it has a flip side full of underlying challenges. It has been more than a decade since beginning of this multipurpose technology but its value and potential for financial purposes is yet to be found out. This paper aims to do that only by bringing in notice the evolution, opportunities and challenges faced While using this technology as a fintech and find the ways out.
